What is the use of adding black silicon carbide to paint?

1. Low viscosity/improved fluidity: Unlike irregularly shaped particles, black silicon carbide can easily roll between each other. It has lower viscosity and better fluidity. Moreover, the sprayability of the system has also been improved.

2. The wide particle size distribution of black silicon carbide allows small microspheres to fill the gap between large microspheres.

3. Inertia. Black silicon carbide is composed of inert components, which provides excellent durability, weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and chemical resistance.

4. Hardness and wear resistance. Black silicon carbide is a high-strength, hard microspheres that can enhance the hardness, scrub resistance, and wear resistance of coatings.

5. Non crystalline silicon pollution: Unlike other fillers, the content of crystalline silicon is below a non hazardous level, and no special hazard warning signs are required to indicate it.

6. Opacity: Makes light slow and diffuse, increasing the hiding power of the paint.
