Metallurgical silicon carbide with high SiC content is used in metallurgical applications.
Metallurgical carbonization of high SiC content is used in ferrous metallurgy to replace ferrosilicon in the alloying and deoxidation processes of steel. SiC content is not less than 89%. Tests carried out in factories using our materials in production have shown that using them it is possible to produce metallurgical silicon carbide which is cheaper than ferrosilicon and which, due to its higher melting point, has the highest degree of assimilation of Si. The material contains up to 30% total carbon, which also significantly increases the uptake of silicon in the metal. These factors combined determine the wide application of silicon carbide in the metallurgical industry. Our materials demonstrate the destruction of natural resources. Metallurgical silicon carbide is environmentally friendly to humans and the environment.
