Applications of Green Silicon Carbide in Cemented Carbide Passivation
Main Uses:
1. Sandblasting Passivation: Green silicon carbide abrasive (46 mesh, 120 mesh, 320 mesh, etc.) is used for sandblasting cemented carbide products, effectively removing burrs, oxide layers, and rough surfaces, improving surface finish.
2. Grinding and Polishing: Green silicon carbide micropowder (400# 600#800#, etc.) is suitable for precision grinding and polishing of cemented carbide, achieving high-precision surface quality.
3. Surface Treatment: Used for matte surface treatment of cemented carbide cutting tools, molds, etc., improving coating adhesion.
Performance Advantages:
High Hardness: Mohs hardness 9.2-9.5, microhardness 2840-3320 kg/m² /mm², effectively machining high-hardness materials such as cemented carbide.
Good self-sharpening: During grinding, the abrasive grains continuously expose new sharp cutting edges, maintaining stable grinding efficiency.
Excellent thermal conductivity: High thermal conductivity allows for rapid conduction of grinding heat, preventing workpiece overheating and deformation.
Strong chemical stability: Resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, suitable for machining in various chemical environments.
