Application of Silicon Carbide in Aviation

Silicon carbide is made of silicon carbide fiber. Silicon carbide fiber is mainly used as high temperature resistant material and reinforcing material. High temperature resistant material includes heat shielding material, high temperature resistant conveyor belt, filter cloth for filtering high temperature gas or molten metal, etc. When used as reinforcing material, it is often combined with carbon fiber or glass fiber, mainly reinforced metal (such as aluminum) and ceramics, such as brake pads, engine blades, landing gear boxes and fuselage structural materials of jet aircraft, etc. It can be used as sporting goods, and its chopped fibers can be used as high-temperature furnace materials.

The crude silicon carbide material can be supplied in large quantities, but the application of nano-scale silicon carbide powder with extremely high technical content cannot form economies of scale in a short period of time. The research and development of silicon carbide wafers in my country is still in its infancy, and silicon carbide wafers are rarely used in China. The development of the silicon carbide material industry lacks the support of downstream application companies. Carry out close cooperation on talent training and technology research and development; strengthen exchanges between enterprises, especially actively participate in international exchange activities to improve the level of enterprise development; pay attention to corporate brand building, and strive to create competitive products of the company.
